Family Get Together

We have had an amazing summer. We spent time with both of our families. My side of the family spent a week together in the Cayman Islands where we had the opportunity to reacquaint ourselves and get tan in the process. It was fun to see the interaction and activity that takes place with little kids. Hunter and Lucy seemed as though they had a blast. They played every day on the beach and in the pools. Hunter is becoming a strong swimmer and is very pool safe. Lucy is also becoming pool safe and is now able to swim across the pool by herself. She especially likes playing “swimming lessons” with mom and dad. They were sad to leave the Cayman Islands, but cheered up when they found out that the entire Cook clan would be awaiting them when they returned home.

We also spent time together with the Rebekah's side of the family. We had the entire family come together in Provo. We shot off fireworks, went to see Hanna Montana, frequented the pool, had many BBQs, Thanksgiving point, Children’s museum in SLC, Gateway fountains, Grandma’s amazing dinners, and many more things. It was great to have everyone in town. It is fun to see how much kindness exists with the Cook family.

This has been one of the busiest, but fun, summers we have had. I (Dan) am off tomorrow to Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand. I will be there until the 31st. Upon returning, Rebekah and I will go to New Hampshire where we will be spending a week at Mary Alice (Marriott) Hatch’s home on Lake Winnipesaukee with some friends of mine from College. It should be a busy next couple of weeks.
